Kat Yates Yoga Booking Policy:
I understand that plans can change. To protect my teaching schedule and time, I have a 24-hour cancellation and rescheduling policy. If you need to cancel, please do so at least 24 hours before your appointment to avoid any charge. Cancellations made within 24 hours will incur a fee of 50% of the session cost. Similarly, rescheduling requests made at least 24 hours in advance will be processed at no extra cost, while those made within 24 hours will incur a fee of 25% of the service price. If you do not show up for your session without prior notice, you will be charged the full 100% of session cost. Illness, family emergencies, and the like will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Liability Waiver and Release of Claims
This Liability Waiver and Release of Claims (the “Waiver”) is made and entered into by the undersigned student (the “Student”) and Kat Yates Yoga (the “Instructor”) as of the date signed below.
1. Assumption of Risk
The Student acknowledges and agrees that practicing yoga involves physical exercise that may be strenuous and carries inherent risks, including but not limited to, the risk of physical injury. The Student voluntarily assumes all risks associated with participation in yoga classes, private yoga classes, and related activities.
2. Waiver and Release
In consideration for being allowed to participate in yoga classes and related activities provided by the Instructor, the Student hereby releases, waives, discharges, and covenants not to sue the Instructor, including its officers, employees, agents, and representatives from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, actions, or causes of action that the Student may have arising out of or related to any injury, loss, or damage that may occur during or as a result of participating in yoga classes, private yoga classes, or related activities.
3. Medical Acknowledgment
The Student agrees to consult with a physician prior to engaging in any exercise program or activity if they have any health concerns or medical conditions. The Student assumes all responsibility for any health concerns or medical conditions, and anything arising during the yoga class or classes out of or related to injury, loss, or damage.
4. Indemnification
The Student agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses, including attorney’s fees, arising out of or related to any injury, loss, or damage resulting from the Student's negligence or misconduct during the yoga classes or related activities.
5. Governing Law
This Waiver shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Alabama, without regard to its conflicts of law principles.
6. Acknowledgment and Agreement
By signing below, the Student acknowledges that they have read and understand this Waiver, that they voluntarily agree to its terms, and that they are waiving certain legal rights. The Student acknowledges that they are at least 18 years old and competent to enter into this agreement.
